So I showed a certain gif to my mom, who’s seen seasons 1 to 6 of Supernatural. She doesn’t get invested in shows the way us fangirls do, but I will admit, I’ve mentioned *understatement* Destiel to her a few times *UNDERSTATEMENT*

But I wasn’t expecting her to say what she said.

THE GIF:

My question to her was “What’s happening here?”

Her words?

“He’s seen Cas.”

Her first thought, she said after I showed her the rest of the post (I was using flutiebear’s post to show her the gif), was actually “he’s got an erection”, but she didn’t want to say that.

Instead she said “He’s seen Cas.”

And then I mentioned that we don’t know if it was in the script or if it was Jensen’s acting choice.

According to her Dean having a boner for Cas is what they wanted us to think.

Unpopular opinion-time (maybe not), but I find this hilarious and adorable in every respect. Cas does not even look good in that over-sized trench coat. In fact, Misha is a much better-looking guy than his costume in SPN would suggest, and the coat makes it somewhat hard to determine what his body actually looks like.

But to Dean, seeing Cas back in his usual outfit apparently is not only a happy, but also an erotic experience. If you decide to read that scene as Dean being overwhelmed by his feelings for Cas, you have actual proof that Dean is emotionally and physically attracted to Cas’s personality and everything that goes with it.

Cas, to Dean, is sexy because he’s Cas. So many feels :)

Besides, look at that once over Dean just did, checking Cas out.

When someone calls your name, your immediate reaction would be to follow the sound of that person’s voice. You would be excited to see that person especially if you haven’t seen them in a long while.

But when Dean calls Cas’ name, Cas hesitates. He stops and fights his first reaction to look at Dean. Instead, he looks the other way as if to make sure there aren’t any monsters around. Because no matter how much he wants to see Dean again, keeping him safe will always come first.
